CHEMBOARD

CHEMBOARD is not a surface coating, like wax, but a deep impregnation. We die-cut the boxes from highly-absorbent recycled corrugated fibreboard (some of the strongest available). The boxes are fitted with hidden metal reinforcements at critical points, then assembled by securely stapling or riveting them throughout. Next we "french fry" the containers in large vats of hot chemical strengthening solution. When boxes cool, they become rock-hard ans hold their shape. The hardening treatment is safe to breathe and tough.

CHEMBOARD is available in two grades:

• Regular-duty Chemboard is made from single corrugated.
• Heavy-duty Chemborad is made from doublewall corrugated, which is twice as thick.

CHEMBOARD boxes are ideal for use in stacking applications, as their rigidity prevents the boxes on the bottom from buckling. They are also excellent when used in storerooms, where their life is almost indefinite.

CHEMBOARD boxes are:

• Lower in cost than fibreglass, metal and many plastic containers.
• Lighter weight than metal, wood, or structural foam containers.
• Long-lasting (3 to 4 years average life, in everyday handling, 10 to 25 years in storage).
• Able to hold heavy loads (a minimum of 30 lbs/cu. ft.) even when stacked 8 high.

CHEMBOARD is recyclable only at pulping mill able to handle a high sulfur content paper. A Material Safety Data Sheet is available upon request.
